World heritage Ayutthaya

昨日は世界遺産のアユタヤ古代遺跡に行って来ました。
貧乏旅行なのでツアーではなく、電車に乗って。
華やかな通りや線路のすぐ脇にある貧困層の住むスラムを抜けて。
電車に揺られた2時間、車窓から沢山のタイの顔を見る事が出来ました。

途中マーケットで腹ごしらえ。
ここまでくると英語が通じないです。
だからこそ、タイの人たちの優しさに触れる絶好の機会でした。

現地で自転車を借りて出発！

1351年から約420年、王都として繁栄していたアユタヤ。
250年前にビルマ軍の攻撃によって崩壊した都。
今は無惨な姿をさらしていますが、その廃墟からはこの地が

どれだけ繁栄していたかを感じます。
こんな美しい建造物やそれらを作り上げた人達が散っていった事。
今は観光地になったこの場所で感じた事は多いです。


帰りの電車の中でタイ人と仲良くなり。
英語が通じないので心と体で会話。
さようならをした後、帰り方が分からず立ち往生していた僕たちにばったり出くわした彼がとった行動、見返りを求めない優しさ。
俺なら他人の為にここまで出来るのか？
出来るようにならないと。
忘れないように旅を続けようと思います。

なんか最高の一日でした。

we went to a world heritage "Ayutthaya" yesterday
we ain't rich tourist, just like typical  poor backpacker.
took train for about 2 hours.
saw "light and shade" of thiland situation today on the way.
you know rich and poverty things like that from train window.

lil hungry on da way.
english doesn't work around here.
you know that's why we appreciate kindness of local people.

rent  bicycle to look around n hit a road.

here looks miserable today.
but feels like it was such a wonderful n flourish dynasty by trace reft.
its touristic place now but many cruel story behind history of war don't forget about that.
its not just "wow beautiful" that sort of thing.

on the way back bangkok.
met thai guy who can't speak english almost at all on the train.
we enjoyed heart to heart communication.
said bye and went own direction.
we were totally at loss how we go back to hostel after that.
then bumped into this guy again.
never forget what he did for us.
he didn't expect anything.
just real kindness.
ask my self could i do this if i was him?
get to be able to do same thing.

it was such a awesome day.
